What some of our customers think

When we moved into the house, we wanted to reserve a room that would be the place for family relaxation as well as entertaining, whether dining or just enjoying drinks with family and friends. The room we chose overlooks the garden and has an open fire and low ceiling and we wanted to develop a space that was visually warm, comforting and conducive to easy conversation. We paneled the walls in oak and placed sofa's next to the fire in rich fabrics.
A couple of high backed leather reading chairs were also installed. We had seen Tim Atkinson's work in a Gallery in Ambleside and asked him to create an 8 sitting dining table and chairs for us that would compliment the 'folky' or 'manorial' theme; something completely original, very obvioulsy crafted and a little bit indulgent.
We were delighted with the finished piece. We know it was expensive and a once in a lifetime purchase but the quality and design justified it. It's very much the focal point of the room and always attracts comments from anyone who has dined with us.'

'We commissioned Tim to produce two chests of drawers for our home in Burgundy, France. We wanted something rustic which would work well in an old farm building made of stone, with lots of oak beams and terracotta floor tiles. We were not only thrilled with the design Tim came up with for the pieces but also with the quality of the finish; they are lovely oak pieces with a rich grain and are crowned by a huge slab of 3 inch thick oak on top. They are also ‘under 3 yr old proof’ which is a blessing with little ones! Its rare that whenever someone has stayed with us they have not passed a comment on them (as have the poor removal men who have had to lift them on more than one occasion..!!) '
